I have discovered that including the full address is very helpful so I am not trying to find a park by the same name in New York City. 

Listed in Google Maps as: Elmwood Park, 413 Glenwood Ave, Elmwood, NY.

Listed on the park's website as: Elmwood Park, 600 Craddock Street, Syracuse, NY 13207  

Parking:  I rode with a friend who lives locally.  We entered the park by the sign for the park near the mill pond.  

Parking:  Paved lot with room for 8+ vehicles.

66+ degrees with rain 8:28-9:48 AM

No bathrooms 

There is no admission fee 

Open Dawn to Dusk

Wesley was not with me, so I did not look for rules regarding dogs.

Due to tree roots and the many stairs, I would not want to navigate these trails with a stroller. 

My friend and I walked for about one mile.  (My Garmin map did not reflect correctly where we walked so I did not include it below.) The natural-surface trails meandered through a wooded area with a variety of tree species. Some areas were single file and some were wider to walk side by side. There were many drystone staircases and a stone bridge, in addition to a glade and a millpond.  We were careful on the stairs because the rain was making some areas a bit slippery. I really enjoyed trying to envision this beautiful park when it was first opened.  The wind picked up with the rain and we had a magical walk with leaves floating to the ground.

I did not see any poison ivy.

We saw one lady with her very sweet senior dog, and we saw a few highschoolers on their way to the neighboring high school.

There was quite a bit of trash.  I should have come prepared with gloves and a bag.  We also saw a few abandoned scooters.

The mosquitos ignored the bug spray.  They were thriving in the heat and humidity.

We saw squirrels and mallard ducks. There were dandelions, asters, milkweed, Virginia creeper, grapevine, a sea of lesser periwinkle, and a variety of tree species including large, gorgeous oak and shagbark hickory.
