I walked approximately .5 miles on the path in this park. After many days of rain, it was nice to squint in the sunshine.
The trail is wide enough for a few people to walk side by side and it is level with a slight incline.
This trail has a very even gravel surface. Most of the gravel is small but some is a little bigger in the areas that needed more water drainage. Even though some sections were damp, there was no area that had standing water despite the recent weeks of rain. I believe strollers would be fine of this trail. I have passed this trail on the way to the childhood homestead many times and wanted to check it out. You can see the entire trail from each point on the trail but it was a good starter trail for me after a very long break from walking and hiking. It was good to be out on a level surface with no tree roots to navigate.
I passed a couple walking their small dog. One fenced backyard that is along the park edge had a very barky dog.
I saw one piece of McDonald's trash near the playground but none on the walking trail.
The mosquitos were not a bother today today.
I heard songbirds and saw dandelions.
