Tom's Point, North Harmony, NY

Address: I used Google Maps to get to Tom's Point which brought me to the general area (see note under the last picture).  Next time, I'll try using the directions to Stow Scoop and Swirl Station, Stow, NY which is in view of the parking area.  I discovered this trail when walking from my first Bemus Point to Stow ferry ride to the Stow Scoop and Swirl Station.

Parking: Room for 6+ cars, dirt parking

The trail is free.

Leashed dogs are permitted. Wesley stayed home today because he was sick and I had some errands to do while I was in the area.

The trail is a natural surface and mostly level.  

I walked 1.5 miles total to the point and then returning to my car. 

A stroller would probably navigate this trail without too much trouble if the wheels were not too small.  

I had the trail to myself except for the mosquitos that were enjoying the muggy weather of the past few days.  There was some noise from the nearby road.  The trail has some sections of full sun and some shaded sections.  There were some muddy areas but not as bad as I expected due to recent rains.

I did not see any trash. 

The mosquitos were hungry today.

This is a trail where shorts would have been okay today because no briars or brush were encroaching on the trail.  The trail appears to be mowed occasionally.

There is poison ivy and Virginia creeper at the edge of the trail.

I saw a hawk flying overhead, jewelweed, yarrow, Queen Anne's lace, chicory, aster, milkweed, daisy, butter and eggs, wild grape, and a variety of tree species including oak, maple, staghorn sumac, willow, and cherry.
